About Sara
Sara Robinson, MA, is a Sport Psychology Consultant in the Bay Area, specializing in work with athletes both on teams and in individual sports. She received her MA in Sport Psychology from John F. Kennedy University in Pleasant Hill, CA, and did her undergraduate work at New York University, where she gained a solid knowledge base in general psychology, and received a BFA in Theater.
Sara has worked with recreational and competitive athletes, ages 3 to adult, in a variety of sports. She has worked with a Division 1 Women's Gymnastics team, high school wrestling and volleyball teams, and club soccer teams. Sara works with individual athletes in a variety of sports including basketball, swimming, track, gymnastics, and softball. Sara has consulted with Sorcerer Fast-pitch Softball Academy in San Ramon, Mind Body Zone in Fremont, and she is the Sport Psychology Consultant for Velocity Sports Performance in Dublin.
Sara believes every athlete and performer can benefit from mental skills training, and introduces techniques and strategies in ways that are fun, interesting, and appropriate to the age and performance arena of the client. She enjoys working with performers of all ages and truly loves teaching clients new skills, supporting their goals, and helping achieve more consistent performance.
Sara is a member of the Association for Applied Sport Psychology (AASP), and the American Psychological Association (APA) Division 47. She grew up in the Bay Area, was a competitive gymnast for over a decade, and understands the demands of being involved in sports and other performance arenas.
